     Laminate Flooring is similar to the material found on countertops only significantly harder. While it's not actual hardwood, Laminate offers the "look" of hardwood and other materials.

     Laminate Flooring offers great versatility since it can be installed in any room and over almost any subfloor including concrete, ceramic, vinyl and wood. Laminate floors are "floating floors". The floating floor suspension system is created by gluing laminate planks to each other instead of directly to the subfloor. The underlayment (cork or foam) provides comfort for your feet while working as an insulator against the cold, sound and vibration.

     Typical laminate construction includes a water resistant high-density fiber core and a moisture guard seal on the bottom of the plank.
